Yr 10 Damascus Day

As part of the College Faith Development Program, all Year 10 students will be participating in a Year 10 Damascus Reflection Day on Thursday 17 September.

This year, the program will be facilitated by the Youth Mission Team and assisted by the Faith and Liturgy Coordinator and Religious Education staff members. The day provides students with the opportunity to reflect on the role of Jesus in their life, focusing on the mission of Christ and the call for social justice.
The day is centered around the scriptural story of St Paul’s experience on the road to Damascus. The conversion of Paul on the Damascus Road was one of the most dramatic moments in the Bible and provides a clear picture of the conversion of all people. Students will have an opportunity to engage in a range of activities including meditation, group discussion/sharing, team building exercises and a group liturgy.
Brigid, Camara, Catherine and Chisholm guilds will participate in the program on Wednesday 16 September, with Marcellin, MacKillop, Thomas More and Romero guilds participating on Friday 18 September. Normal classes will run for students on the day their guild is not involved.
On the day of their reflection day, students are asked to come to school in their guild uniform. They are required to attend Pastoral Care Group and then move to the Chapel.
