Year 9 Remar Recruitment Session

The Newman College Remar Team are holding a recruitment session in the Sports Complex to provide information for Year 9's who are wanting to join the Year 10 Remar Red Caravel in 2016. The session will commence at 3.30pm.
The word Remar is formed from the Spanish word meaning “to row”. It is also a play on words from the phrase “REnewal of the MARist Charism”. Remar is currently operating within most Australian states and territories, New Zealand and South America.
Through the Remar program, we are seeking to achieve the three main goals as outlined in the framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, which are as follows:
•To foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
•To draw young people into responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.
•To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
The program starts in Year 10 and is a three-year journey until they graduate in Year 12.
