Year 6 Blue Assembly Highlights

Last week, the College's Head of Primary, Jocelyn Hansen, was officially thanked and farewelled for her 12 years of service to the College at a special Pre K-Yr 6 Assembly held in the Marist Auditorium.
The Assembly commenced with a number of special Merit Certificates being presented to Mrs Hansen on behalf of the year groups.
Next the children of Year 6 Blue used creative flare of Drama, Dance and Song to farewell our amazing Head of Primary in a very entertainging way!
The farewell started with a solo item entailing "The Head of Primary as Risky Business", this was followed by a few short Drama skits "The Day in the Life of Mrs Hansen.”
The famous movie "The Wizard of Oz " was also highlighted with the children dressed as the various characters giving Mrs Hansen their symbols of Courage, Heart (love) and Knowledge to help her on her new adventure. The students also impersonated Mrs Hansen through a dance titled “May the Force be With You.” The assembly concluded with the remix of a song from Frozen “Let Her Go!”
The Head Boy and Head Girl, Michael Heelan and Georgia Martin thanked Mrs Hansen for her didication to the College on behalf of the Secondary school.
Finally Mrs Hansen was presented with a number of gifts, including a piece of artwork and a coffee table book which every student from Pre K - Year 6 contributed towards.
The assembly united the Primary School together and allowed all students to say their goodbyes. Mrs Hansen will surely be missed!
