If students are choosing, or have chosen, a General Pathway for Years 11 & 12 there are a number of opportunities for you to apply for to undertake Vocational Training and Education (VET) Certificates externally to, but supported by, Newman College.
If students were successful in gaining a place they would:

  • Spend 4 days a week at Newman College working on their chosen courses
  • Under take the Career and Enterprise General Course of Study
The vast majority of these courses are Government funded and are free of charge, with an occasional minimal resource or equipment fee.
Please see attached information regarding courses available pdfVocational Education and Training Opportunities
If a student would like to apply for any of these courses they must make an appointment to see either of the Career Counsellors, Linda Whiteside or Kristy Harper. Appointments can be made at Student Services, or by calling Student Services on 92049443.
