Six weeks and counting for Isabelle's Gallipoli Journey

Six weeks and counting for Isabelle's Gallipoli Journey

In just six weeks, Year 9 student Isabelle Ratkovcic will embark on the journey of a lifetime to Turkey where she will spend 10 days learning about the Australian experience of war.

Isabelle is one of 32 WA students who were selected as part of the 2015 Premier’s ANZAC Student Tour. Over the long weekend Isabelle got to meet the other pilgrims for the first time as a whole group, allowing them to get to know each other and get important details of next month’s trip.
Students spent their final day together at Kings Park where they spoke with State War Memorial deputy warden Geoff Simpson and then visited the Army Museum of Western Australia in Fremantle.
They were shown what a war trench during World War I looked like and visited galleries and displays.
