Primary boys shave for a good cause

Primary boys shave for a good cause

After working tirelessly as a team over the past month raising awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation, Benjamin Nowrojee, Thomas Murphy, Jack Cockayne, Will Miller and Fraser Whitely took to the clippers, shaving their heads as part of The World's Greatest Shave.

Each of the boys has his own special reason for committing to this worthy charity.
Fraser lost his grandfather to cancer in 2005 and is participating in the shave in the hope that a cure may be found so that other boys will have more time with their grandfathers than he did. Will is participating in memory of his Aunt who passed away with cancer.
The boys have raised a staggering $5,000 through the support of their families/friends, shaking tins at the Floreat Forum and a bake sale that was held at Lavalla.
A special thanks must go to Franke Basile and his hairdressing team who donated their time to shave all of the boys hair, including Ben Edwards, and colour the two girls hair, Georgie Miller and Isabella Viera-Mudford. Frank also reached into his pocket and donated $100 which was greatly appreciated by the boys.
