Newman Sienna Netball Grand Finals

Good luck to the four Newman Sienna teams who will be playing in the Grand Final at Matthews Netball Centre, Floreat this weekend.
In total the club had 10 out of 19 sides make it through to finals, with several sides only narrowly missing out, overall a pretty good performance by the club!
The Year 7 Emeralds were moved up a division after the first 4 weeks of the season and made it through to the finals by finishing second on the ladder. The team put in a fantastic performance to beat the top side in the second semi, a team who had defeated them twice during the regular season.
The Year 8 Gems also made it through to the finals by finishing second on the ladder and as the Emeralds did, they put in a dominant display to defeat the top side in the second semi, a team who had defeated them 3 times during the season. (even better!!)
Both the Year 7 and Year 8 games will be played at 9.00am.
The Year 10 Garnets side also made it through to the finals by finishing second on the ladder. They narrowly lost the second semi but won their preliminary final well, getting the chance to redeem themselves against the top side. They will be playing at 12.15pm.
The Open Platinum side (many of whom are former Newman Students) also made it through to the finals by finishing second on the ladder. They narrowly lost the second semi but won their preliminary final with a crushing victory. On Saturday they'll get the chance to redeem themselves against the top side with whom they have had some epic battles this season, 1-1 during the regular season, 1-0 to the opposition in the finals so far. All games have been very close and it’s a game likely to go down to the wire. They will be playing at 2.00pm
