NCEC Conference Highlights

The students in Year 4 Red embarked on a learning journey at the NCEC Conference this week.

Over Monday and Tuesday the students were involved in an interactive classroom in the foyer of the Perth Exhibition and Convention Center. The conference participants were encouraged to interact with the students and discover learning through a number of tools. The children followed a number of tasks through an iTunes U course, they explored Europe, Africa and Australia through virtual reality goggles, they created 360 degree photos on their iPads, they interviewed delegates using a green screen and they were problem solving and investigating robotics with Stephen Payne from Standout Education.

The learning space included a range of pieces supplied by Woods Furniture including ottomans, hokki stools, storage containers and whiteboard tables. The feedback over the two days was very positive.

The Year 4 students of Newman College were polite, well mannered and confident to approach and interact with the delegates.
