Latest News from the Head of Primary

Welcome back to Term 2. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday enjoying the Easter celebrations and the delightful Autumn weather.

This term we welcome to our community Cassie De Abreu in Kindy Green, Katya Anderson in Year 2 Red and Cindy Carboni in Year 5 Green. We also welcome Robyn Hatchett into the position of Assistant Head of Primary at the Lavalla Campus while Dianne Grinbergs is on a well deserved long service leave.

Winter Uniform
The students move into their winter uniform for this term as well as Term 3. As always there is a two week grace period for students to choose to wear either the winter or summer uniform. However they are required to wear the complete uniform, not parts of each until Monday 12 May, where all students are required to be in full winter uniform.

Parents and Friends Meeting
Next Monday 5 May there will be a P & F meeting at 7.30pm at the Marian Campus. All parents are welcome to attend.

Year 6 Camp
Next week from Tuesday to Friday the Year 6 students and teachers will be enjoying a wonderful time at Forrest Edge in Waroona. The camp is a great time for the students to challenge themselves and work as a team for many fun, yet different activities. We look forward to hearing all the stories of their adventures.

Easter Raffle
At the end of the term our very generous families donated many Easter eggs for the raffle. The funds raised are part of the Project Compassion funds which will go to many people both in Australia and the developing world to assist families to improve their skills and knowledge and to enjoy a better standard of living. The generosity of our community is very evident when you see the funds raised through the various activities amounted to $4359.90. This is a great result for the work and commitment of our community.

There was a very supportive group of parents and grandparents who assisted with the wrapping of the baskets for the raffle and we are very thankful for their assistance.
