IPSHA Cross Country Carnival

Selected students from Years 3-6 will compete in the IPSHA Interschool Cross Country on Thursday 11 August at John XXIII College.

Participants will be travelling by bus, departing Newman at 9.10am sharp and returning by approximately 1.00pm. They will need to bring healthy snacks and a water bottle.
As it is an Interschool fixture, all children must wear their full sports uniform (blue sports shirt). Please ensure they bring a change of clothes and a towel in case of wet weather.
The IPSHA cross country track has been modified this week due to external issues. All students start at the same place, run along the edge of the school and then enter the oval and all turn right. The Year 3/4 students will then be guided along a hockey field and turn into a long finish chute (still plenty of time to catch the runner in front). The Year 5/6 continue around the edge of the oval, back along the top of the wall and then back down the other side of the wall. They will angle in to the same finish chute as the younger runners.
