Homelessness Immersion Excursion

On Wednesday 26 August, a small group of Year 12 students, accompanied by Jenny Lindsay and James McLaughlin ventured into the City a little after 7.00am to witness homelessness in our City.

Our group walked through the Hay and Murray Street Malls and were saddened to see what is a way of life for so many Western Australians. In returning to school, we drove past the St Vincent de Paul Centre in Northbridge as well as another centre run for homeless teens in Leederville. The students involved are now keen to return to the City and dignify the presence of the homeless in whatever way possible.

The students would like the College community to consider donating items including toiletries and healthy snack foods i.e. nuts which we can pass on to those who need them most.
