Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day

This week the Grandparents enjoyed a lovely morning in the Primary school. They started at the Lavalla Campus with the Year 3 students leading a lovely liturgy. Fr Andrew, our chaplain celebrated the prayer liturgy. From there, the grandparents enjoyed a delightful morning tea organised by the wonderful Auxiliary ladies who were supported so generously by the many bake and drop parents who assisted with baking the morning tea treats. Grandparents were then able to enjoy activities in the classrooms and have a tour with their grand children around the wonderful campus.

At 11.00am Grandparents were welcomed at the Marian Campus. They were again treated to a delightful morning tea which was organised by the Auxiliary and the bake and drop mums. From there they were able to enjoy a fun filled time in the library, in the classrooms and generally enjoy the campus and the grounds.
A special acknowledgement to The Terribile Family who had four generations present today - Great Grandma, Grandma, mother and Great Grandchildren.
We at Newman College are so fortunate to have such a wonderfully supportive community of parents and grandparents for our students.
