Father's Day Celebrations

A number of celebrations were held across the 3 Campuses this week to recognise and celebrate the importance of our Dads/Grandfathers and the impact they have on our lives.

Both the Lavalla and Marian Campuses held a special Prayer Assembly and Paraliturgy where all the students stood-up and blessed the Dads/Grandfathers present. At both events there was a reading and reflection from Luke 2:41-52 The Boy Jesus at the Temple.
On Thursday the Pre Primary Cohort held a Father’s Day Breakfast where Dad’s received a special handmade tie and enjoyed a sausage sizzle and a coffee.
Today the Year 8’s hosted a Mass in the Champagnant Chapel. Meg Hobson, Madeline Dawson and Tatenda Makova gave heart-warming presentations about their Dad’s and how much they mean to them. Following Mass, students, staff and family members enjoyed a sausage sizzle in the Chapel courtyard.
The Kindy students welcomed their Dads/Grandfathers into their classrooms where they sang a song and read a story before enjoying morning tea together. The Dads were very excited to be there and finished the morning by joining in with a classroom activity!
