Fabiana receives Italian Award

Congratulations Fabiana Di Donna (Yr 4G) who has won the prize for her respective year level in the Italian Primary School Students’ Competition. This year the competition focused on ‘Expo Milano 2015 – Nutrire il Pianeta, Energia per la Vita’ [‘Milan Expo 2015 - Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’].
Year 4 students were required to prepare an illustrated placemat, using no more than 20 words in Italian, for a Pre Primary student which shows how riso (rice) and cacao (cocoa) are grown and used. The students needed to also include the colour of rice and cocoa, the countries in which they are grown, the types of dishes and drinks that can be made from them and any other relevant information.
Fabiana was presented with her award by the Acting Consul for Perth, dott. Nicola Comi and the President of the Italo-Australian Welfare and Cultural Centre, Cav. Enzo Sirna, AM. Her Italian teacher Mr Fernando Desiati along with her mum were also present.
