Champagnat Day Festival - Secondary School Activities

On Friday 14 August the College will be holding a Champagnat Day Festival. Students will be attending an Assumption Mass in the morning commemorating the death of Mary and her bodily assumption into Heaven. Following Mass there will be an afternoon of organised guild activities.

Students are encouraged to bring along spending money to support the many food stalls and fun activities being held throughout the afternoon, including a student concert. Monies raised on the day will be donated to the Marist Solidarity Project - 'Ending Slavery in Tea Gardens, Bangladesh'. This project helps over 55,000 families living and working in slave like conditions and earning approximately 65 US cents a day in Bangladesh.

Students have an opportunity to dress in clothes other than their College uniform and are encouraged to wear modest, comfortable clothing that is suitable to wear to Mass and be able to engage in some fun activities during the afternoon.
