Catholic Missions Prayer Assembly

Catholic Missions Prayer Assembly

This week, the Year 5 Green class lead a very prayerful and reflective prayer assembly based on the theme Catholic Missions. They reminded us of how fortunate we are in our world where we have safety, love and a happy life and how we are in a good position to help those children in less fortunate situations.

Sarah Laundy, from the Catholic Missions spoke to the students at the Lavalla Campus about her experiences in the slums of Manila and how the funds we raised through our free dress day will be of great help to the Catholic Missions and the work they do to improve the lives of the developing countries.
The Students, on behalf of the College, presented Sarah with a cheque for $2000 towards the work of the Catholic Missions in Jamaica, the focus country for the campaign.
