Building Bridges Project

Building Bridges Project
The Building Bridges Project aims to assist secondary students of different faiths, religions, cultures and values in Years 10 and 11 to build bridges of trust and friendship.
The project, which has been running in Victoria for 13 years, commenced in Western Australia for the first time last Friday, 22 July. Newman College is one of four schools involved with the project this year.
Mrs Jenny Lindsay, Mr Ben Grose and 22 students travelled to the Australian Islamic College in Kewdale, where they spent two hours getting to know each other and to begin introductory discussions on their different faith backgrounds, focussing on the similarities and with respect for our differences. The second workshop is on Monday 1 August at Carmel College in Dianella.
Newman College will be hosting the folowing workshop on Thursday 25 August.
