Bryce makes history at World Water Polo Competitions

Bryce Durrant (Yr10) has recently returned to Australia after competing in the World Water Polo Championships
Bryce, along with two other Western Australian players, flew out to Sydney to join the Australian team for a training camp before departing to Europe.
The boys then attended a further training camp in Croatia, culminated in a tour match against the Croatian National side which included a formal ceremony and singing of the national anthems.
On completion, the team headed to Serbia to compete in the world games. This is just the second year that Australia has been invited to compete in these games which feature some of the worlds best Water polo nations.
Australia had not previously won a game at the tournament. The boys gelled well as a side and competed extremely strongly winning the second pool game against France seven goals to 6 a cliff hanger! History has been made!
The Australian boys have been resilient against sides where water polo is their primary sport and Bryce has been a rock in goals.
There are still a number of matches to go and I am sure the boys will grow immensely as people whilst interacting with the other national sides, enjoying the cultural experience and playing with and against our future Olympians!
