Awareness and Fundraiser for Nepal

Awareness and Fundraiser for Nepal

In April a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country of Nepal, creating widespread damage and leaving millions homeless and without basic necessities. Aftershocks have further devastated this region, causing the deaths of over 8,000 people and leaving 2.8 million people in need of assistance.
To show our support for the country, all students are encouraged to wear free dress on Friday 19 June in order to raise money for those who have been affected by the earthquake. Each student is asked to bring in a gold coin donation as a minimum. Your $2 would be greatly appreciated by those 2.8 million people in need. As this will be the only College fundraiser for Nepal larger donations are encouraged!
We ask that you aim to wear the colours of the Nepal flag which are red, white and blue to show our solidarity with the people of Nepal.
Elizabeth Loreck and Olivia Roberts, Social Justice Captains
