Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital Visit - Kindy

Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital Visit - Kindy

This week, the Kindy children had a visit from the Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital (AWCH). This hands-on program is used to increase the children's knowledge and reduce their anxiety about hospitalisation and medical care.

The children dressed up, operated, and used wheel chairs and crutches to reduce their fears about hospitals.

There were a few worried children when 'Alesha' had her injections, but their fears were allayed when she employed her counting strategy to help take her mind off it.

Thank you, Maggie from AWCH for an interesting and entertaining visit!
