Dichteliebe Performance

Dichteliebe by German composer Robert Schumann is a popular 19th century song cycle and is one of the set works in the 2017/18 Year 11 ATAR Music syllabus. Excerpts from Dichteliebe will be performed live by Ry Charleson (tenor), accompanied by Christopher Milborn (piano) with the purpose to expose students to Romantic music from the 19th century and increase their knowledge and understanding of the work.

The performers will also present a post-concert chat to discuss some historical and performance features and answer any questions. This is a free concert and we invite all of our Newman community to attend, including parents and siblings. (Please note, due to length and intensity this concert may not be appropriate for small children.)
